Do: Southern Tequila and Taco Festival 

When: Friday, April 28th, 5pm 
Where: Mayor Ralph McGill Plaza / 101 N Campbell Station Rd. Farragut 

Tacos and Tequila! All for a good cause. This fun festival raises funds for Remote Area Medical. Taste hand-crafted tequilas, margaritas, cocktails and beer, listen to some great music and eat some tacos! 

Your purchase will include tokens to sample tequila, get cocktails or beer, as well as food tickets for tacos. 

See all the details and remember to drink responsibly. This event is 21 and up (children under the age of 4 will be allowed in).

Remote Area Medical (RAM) is a major nonprofit provider of free pop-up clinics. Their mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free, quality healthcare to those in need. 

 

Eat & Drink: Beginner Sushi Class at Hi-Wire Brewing

When: Sunday, April 30th, 3pm-5pm

Where: Hi-Wire Brewing / 2020 Barber St. Knoxville 

Learn to make the perfect sushi rice in addition to where to shop, what to buy, and what to avoid. Learn to make all the sauces you love like eel sauce and BangBang. Also, how to safely and confidently serve raw fish at home. For $55 per person you get two plates per person (you get an appetizer or a roll and then you make your own sushi roll during the class).

You also get a glass of beer and a cheat sheet filled with notes and tips and tricks from your intructior. Not to mention one of Hi-Wire's flagship beers. 

Try: Macrame Wall Hanging     

When: Saturday, April 29th, 9:30am-1pm
Where: Knoxville Arts Center / 1127 N Broadway, Suite B, Knoxville      

This is a great opportunity to learn how to macrame. Macrame is a creative knotting technique that can be used to make a variety of items. Join instructor, Olivia, in this one-day workshop as she teaches these knotting techniques. You will make a simple wall hanging and all materials are included. The cost of the class is $50.

Watch & Listen: World Ballet Series - Cinderella 

When: Sunday, April 30th, 6pm

Where: Knoxville Civic Auditorium / 500 Howard Baker Ave. Knoxville 

See the magical world of Cinderella like you've never seen it before. Part of the World Ballet Series, Cinderella is performed live by a multinational cast of 40 professional ballet dancers. 

A visually stunning production accompanied by Sergei Prokofiev’s passionate celebrated score, over 150 hand-sewn radiant costumes.

An enchanting story for all ages with a wonderful dose of humor, the majesty of classical ballet, and the promise of “happily ever after”.

New To Town: Fable Hollow Coffee and Bookshoppe Grand Opening

When: Saturday, April 29th, 8am-8pm
Where: Fable Hollow Coffee and Bookshoppe / 2910 Tazewell Pike, Suite A, Knoxville  

Celebrate the grand opening of the new Fable Hollow Coffee and Bookshoppe. There will be raffles for prizes throughout the day and a special Grand Opening drink. Fable Hollow specializes in fantasy genre books, but they carry all genres in-store and online. They have more to offer than coffee and books - they provide customers a fantasy experince with their whimsical feel and comfortable atmosphere.
