Watch & Listen: First Friday featuring Brian Melton & Christmas Parade
Join in for First Friday on December 3rd from 5-9PM for "Voices of Appalachia" by Brian Melton. The WIVK Christmas Parade will also pass in front of the office from around 7:30-9PM, so get there early to enjoy the show!
Exhibition on Display: November 5 - December 17, 2021 at the Dogwood Arts Gallery (123 W. Jackson Ave, Knoxville. TN 37902). Gallery Hours: M-F 10AM-5PM
Brian Melton is a self-taught artist and public school teacher who loves the challenge of creating works of figurative realism in wood using traditional hand tools. Although a new artist with only a few years of experience, Melton is rapidly emerging. Voices of Appalachia is a direct response to the gross misrepresentation and common stereotypes associated with the people of this region. Brian hopes that this series will showcase beautiful folks who call these mountains and hills home.
