Do: Knoxville Sunflower Celebration
Where: Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area / 3140 McClure Ln. Knoxville
Thousands of blooming sunflowers will be showcased at TWRA's Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area (FRWMA) during the fifth annual Knoxville Sunflower Festival Saturday, July 9, from 9 am – noon.
Presented by: Visit Knoxville, City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation, Ijams Nature Center, TWRA and Legacy Parks Foundation.
Touring the festival is easy and FREE!
- Take a free shuttle from Tennessee School for the Deaf, 2725 Island Home Blvd. Shuttles will run continuously from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Join a guided hike of the sunflower fields at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. leaving from the shuttle drop-off spot in the center of the fields
- Walk the two miles from Ijams Nature Center or 1.5 miles from Ijams Quarries. Parking at both locations is limited.
- Hop on a free loaner bike from Kickstand Community Bike Shop and tour from the Will Skelton Greenway. Kickstand will be set up in the parking lot inside FRWMA.
- Join in a group bike ride to the festival with Cycology Bicycles at 9:00 am from Suttree Landing Park or with Printshop Beer at 10:30 am!
Food trucks will be located at the Ijams Quarries and sunflower festival gifts will be available in the Ijams Nature Center Gift Shop.
Note: McClure Lane will be closed except to local traffic and handicap permitted parking (must have permit)

Eat & Drink: Moonshine Tasting + Dinner with Sugarlands Distilling Company
Ancient Lore Village has partnered with their friends at Sugarlands Distilling Company for a night under the stars with moonshine, moonlight, and dinner. Enjoy a delicious dinner paired with samplings of moonshine and cocktails! So, come early and experience the magic, mystery, and wonder with a story tour of the Village prior to getting your ‘shine on!

Watch & Listen: MUSICFEST at West End
The Town of Farragut and SHOP FARRAGUT are delighted to announce this year's MUSICFEST at West End presented by SouthEast Bank. It will take place Friday July 8, between 6 and 10 pm and Saturday July 9, from 3 to 10 pm in the West End Shopping Center parking lot just south of Farragut High School. Farragut merchants and local vendors will move outside to showcase their products and services to enthusiastic crowds who will enjoy the performances of 8 Bands playing Rock, Country and Blues music.
Special discounts, attractions and giveaways will highlight the day as patron’s shop, dine or just enjoy the live music under the large festival tent. Attendees can also enjoy beer made available from The Admiral’s Pub, plus wine and other adult beverage offerings will be served with the help of Water Into Wine Bistro. Proper ID is required.
