Do: Lavender Festival
Celebrate health, herbs, and the environment at the annual Lavender Festival in Oak Ridge. Thousands of people visit the festival in Historic Jackson Square and it grows larger and more popular each year. Scheduled yearly for the third weekend in June, at the peak season for the herb it celebrates.
From homemade jams to fine art, you can enjoy the sounds of music floating through the square from the large Festival Tent, as well as the Nine Lakes Wine Tasting, Featured Speakers and Demonstrations, Herb Lunch and a Tour of Gardens. This event is free with free parking except for the special ticketed events.

Eat & Drink: Mozzarella Making Fun
Where: Sunago Coffee Co. / 10736 Hardin Valley Rd. Knoxville
Learn how fresh mozzarella is made and stretched in a fun environment. This hands-on class will show you how the process is done, then you will stretch and form the mozzarella yourself for you to enjoy and to take some home with you.
You will also enjoy prepared antipasto platters using the cheese that is freshly prepared along with locally made bread, marinated vegetables, italian cheeses, balsamic reduction, and more to nosh on while participating in the class.
The cost is $75 per person and payment is required in advanced. This event is BYOB.

Watch & Listen: Movies Under The Stars - Terror in the Woods 10 Year Anniversary
Where: Ijams Nature Center / 2915 Island Home Ave. Knoxville
Ijams Nature Center and Central Cinema present Movies Under The Stars 2023 Outdoor Screening Series. This weekend Terror in the Woods returns for its 10-year anniversary.
Featuring The Craft and The Blair Witch Project. And that's not all! FrightWorks' haunted trail will be back in full force; you may never want to walk in the woods alone again! It's going to be epic!
Grab your favorite blanket or lawn chair and get ready to scream (with delight). Doors open at 7 pm and movies and trail begin at dark (~9 pm).
Food trucks and beer garden will have tasty meals, snacks, and beverages for purchase. NO COOLERS AND NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL PLEASE. Dogs are allowed, but must be on leash at all times and will not be allowed on the haunted trail.
These events are on the Ijams Visitor Center lawn. In case of inclement weather, please check the event page and social media for updates.
Tickets are $15 per person and include access to both movies and the haunted trail. Space is limited for all movie screenings. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended. Walk-up tickets may not be available.
