Summer on Broadway in Maryville is a vibrant annual event that brings the community together for a weekend of fun and festivities. Ever wonder how your favorite steakhouse prepares those amazingly juicy perfectly cooked steaks? The Chef will show you how in this fun, hands-on, and interactive class. 'They will walk you through a delicious menu while demonstrating and explaining cooking techniques that will enable you to prepare the same excellent quality steaks and sides at home! You will cover methods and techniques like shopping for and knowing what steak to choose, checking temperature and getting it right, grilling, pan searing, sous vide, cutting steaks, seasoning, marinades, and compound butters. Get ready for the most fun and educational class you have ever experienced! Oh and come hungry!

Try: Bingo at the Barn - Barbie Night

When: Friday, June 21st, 6pm-8pm
Where: East Tennessee Miniature Horse and Donkey Rescue / 6545 Calloway Rd. Loudon


Come dressed in your best Barbie or Ken and play Bingo among the mini horses and donkeys. Doors open at 5pm and Bingo runs 6pm-8pm. It is $20 a ticket or two tickets for $35 and it gets you 8 Bingo tickets, a reusable dauber, a soft drink, a snack, a trivia sheet, and a meet and greet with the minis! Additional snacks will be available for purchae. 

The bingo master will be giving out prizes for best dressed.

Family: Free Happy Kids Yoga

When: Saturday, June 22nd, 10:30am-11am
Where: Farragut Community Center / 239 Jamestowne Blvd. Farragut

Do you have kiddos that would like to try out yoga? There will be a free Happy Kids Yoga class at Bumps and Beyond. All you have to do is show up and fill out a waiver. 

Your kiddos will have a ton of fun and parents or caregivers are highly encouraged to participate too. 

Watch & Listen: Butterfly Release

When: Sunday, June 23rd, 1pm
Where: Willow Ridge Garden Center / 97 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge 

Willow Ridge Garden Center will be releasing 100 butterflies as their grand finale for Pollinator Week!

Tickets will be $5 each and are available for purchase NOW! You can purchase tickets via phone (865-481-3825) or by stopping in the garden center. A ticket ensures that you have a butterfly to release. You may come to watch for free.

Door prizes will be given out during the event!

A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to Pollinator.org to help ensure the survival and growth of our pollinator population.

Furry Friend: Foam Friday at The Bark

When: Friday, June 21st, 4pm-8pm
Where: The Bark / 601 Lamar St. Knoxville

Foam Fridays at The Bark are a must-visit event for dog lovers! Sip a craft beer as your best friend zooms around and plays in the foam bubbles. This unique dog park and beer garden offers a perfect blend of fun and relaxation. Bring your furry friends to enjoy the expansive play areas, indoor and out.
