Eat & Drink: Lenoir City Arts and Crafts Festival  

When: Saturday, June 5th, 9am-5pm and Sunday, June 6th, 10am-4pm 

Where: City Park Drive, Lenoir City   

The 58th Annual Lenoir City Arts & Crafts Festival will be held in beautiful Lenoir City Park June 5th and 6th, and it promises to be better than ever!! Thousands of buyers from throughout the greater Knoxville area and beyond will come view the wares of some 240 crafters. Items range from ceramics and glassware to metal work and jewelry, to baskets and much more! The quality of the event and superb reputation of the crafters have made this one of the area's most popular events.

With a great festival comes with great food. A wide array of fast food and home baked delicacies will be available throughout the festival. Your taste buds will delight in old favorites and new flavors. A smorgasbord of variety to please a wide range of tastes. And plenty of cold beverages to satisfy a summer thirst!

Try: Pints & Paddles Kayaking Event 

When: Saturday, June 5th, 10am

Where: Crafter's Brew / 856 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge      

 

Join Crafter's Brew for their 1st Annual Pints & Paddles Kayaking Event.

You will be starting at the Green Bridge in Clinton and paddling to Melton Hill Lake, the former marina, in Oak Ridge. Total paddling time is roughly 3.5 hours. We will stop at Veterans Park after two hours of paddling and will enjoy a BBQ lunch and beverage at the park. After lunch we will paddle an additional 1.5 hours to the Melton Hill Park (Marina) where the Hippie Bus will be awaiting you to enjoy a few pints at the lake. 

Cost is $25 per person which includes your BBQ lunch, craft beer pints on the hippie bus and a commemorative t-shirt. To sign up come and pay your $25 here at Crafter's Brew. Please fill out the sign up sheet in full. Rain out date will be Saturday, June 12th.

* Kayak rental is available (details to come)
** Please note that 3.5 hours of paddling is not recommended for small kids or the physically unfit. 

**All boats are required to have a life vest.

When: Sunday, June 6th, 2:30pm-3:30pm

Where: Ijams Nature Center / 2915 Island Home Ave. Knoxville  

Ijams is delighted partner with Knoxville Opera for "Disney for Kids," a performance featuring highlights from some of the most timeless classic songs from everyone's favorite Disney movies.

Brian Salesky, Knoxville Opera’s dynamic and entertaining artistic director, will host the performance and accompany soprano Jacquie Brecheen and mezzo-soprano Aubrey Odle. 
Tickets are required and limited to 250 physically distanced guests seated on the lawn and patio in front of the Visitor Center pavilion on the plaza near the front entrance of the Visitor Center (2915 Island Home Avenue, Knoxville 37920). Guests are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.

Doors open one hour before the performance.

In the event of rain at performance time, this event may be postponed to a later date.

Watch & Listen: St. Jude Rock Fest 

When: Saturday, June 5th, 2pm

Where: Bootleggers Harley Davidson / Lovel Rd. Knoxville       

St. Jude Rock Fest, "Knoxville" is an annual rock concert to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Each Rock Fest has some of the best professional entertainment you can see for a reasonable price so you can easily afford to bring your friends to have a good time while helping the treatment of childhood cancer.
