Do: Genealogy Workshop - Beginning Genealogy

When: Saturday, June 10th, 1pm-4pm
Where: East Tennessee History Center / 601 S Gay St. Knoxville 

Are you interested in learning more about your family history, but just don't know where to begin? This workshop will help you conduct genealogical research, including helpful charts and forms, free internet research sites, genealogy software, and other beneficial tips.

Hibachi Chefs have amazing skills and not to mention the food they cook is delicious! Learn how to prepare your very own hibachi using fresh ingredients and techniques that will result in a delicious Japanese-inspired meal. 

The Chef will guide you as you prepare an dinner and then enjoy it.

Try: Pound and Pour at Creekside Good Food     

When: Saturday, June 10th, 10:30am-11:30am
Where: Creekside Good Food - Good Vibes / 6729 Malone Creek Dr. Knoxville

Channel your inner rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session. This workout is inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. 

This unique pound class is being taught by Kim Day Training and will be offered for $15 which includes a post workout beer of your choice. Everyone is welcome!

Work a little, play a little. It's all about balance!

Watch & Listen: Summer Sounds & Sweets - Blue Shadows Perform 

When: Friday, June 9th, 7pm-8:30pm

Where: Seymour Branch Library / 137 W Macon Ln. Seymour

Join Friends of Seymour Library for Summer Sounds & Sweets. The band, Blue Shadows, will play their Appalachian music, cowboy, and fiddle tunes. This program is free and open to the public.

Friends of the Seymor Library will provide beverages and home-made desserts to be enjoyed as the audience listens to the music. Funds raise will support various needs and programs offered at the library. 

Summer Sounds & Sweets offers three musical programs on Fridays in the summer featuring three local musical groups. This year, Brand New Box of Matches will entertain on July 7 and Steve Kirtley and New Victory Band stars Aug. 11. All programs start at 7 p.m. and all are welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed and dress is casual.

Sunday Funday: Axe, Archery, & Apps 

When: Sunday, June 11th, 6pm-7:30pm
Where: Ancient Lore Village / 7107 Sevierville Pike, Knoxville    

The perfect outdoor sampler package with 60-minutes of fun: axe, archery, and appetizers at the ranges set in an authentic wooded location!  Axe and Archery is 6:30pm – 7:30pm.  You are welcome to arrive early and enjoy a stroll through the Village Gardens or purchase a drink from the bar prior to your activities.

  • Closed-toe shoes required.
  • Must be 10+ years old to participate
  • Weather-appropriate casual attire is suggested.
  • Please make reservations for your entire party to ensure availability.
