Do: How To Elevate Your Spring Entertaining - A Charcuterie Workshop

Come join Krista DeSocio to learn the art of spring entertaining with tips and tricks on how to elevate your charcuterie boards.

Krista will provide pointers on making your spring entertaining something to remember! Throughout the class you will be putting together a charcuterie board with spring accents as she provides her advice on creating your shopping list, how to design your board and few hints to make it stand out from the rest! 

You will leave this class with a marble board from The Back Porch Mercantile filled with all the yummies, a bag of Becca's Petite plant based granola, recipe cards with Krista favorite easy appetizers, and knowledge on how to step up your entertaining game.

Eat & Drink: Knoshville - Jewish Food Festival

Experience Jewish food, art, and culture brought to you by the Jewish organizations of Knoxville and Oak Ridge.

Nosh = Yiddish word meaning to snack or nibble.  

Knoshville = Knoxville's Jewish Food Festival where you can nosh on yummy favorites like challah, bagels and lox, and Bundt cakes as well as less familiar (but equally delicious!) treats like kugel, rugalach, shakshuka, and more.

They'll also have Jewish art, music, and crafts plus games for the kids. Bring your family and your appetite - it's time to nosh at Knoshville 2022!

 

Try: Container Gardening for Spring

Where: Stanley's Greenhouse / 3029 Davenport Rd SE, Knoxville  

Do you have limited space to garden? Have a front porch, balcony, patio, or sunroom you would like to give an easy aesthetic facelift? Want to grow plants and herbs that can be invasive to other plants? Then container gardening is for you. In this seminar they will share tips and tricks to planting and designing the perfect spring container garden for any space. 

This seminar is free, open to the public, and does not require registration to attend. They ask that participants wear masks during our Spring 2022 seminars for the safety of our guests, speakers, and staff. They will have masks available for guests who do not have them. Family: Magical Fairy Festival and Craft Show

When: Saturday, May 14th, 11am-4pm

Join in for the Magical Fairy Festival and Craft Show. They will have Leo's food truck and Maw's Arctic Ice with hot dog stand and shaved ice, crafter and vendor show hosted by Diana Hayes, Bubble table (play) for the kids, Steve from Steves hoops will be out with music and hooping for kids of all ages. Face painting! There will be having a reverse beauty pageant at around 1pm, so everyone come in their worst fairy or mystical, mythical creature costume. They will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner who will receive a prize. Everyone is welcome to come dressed up in fairy attire. Children young and old!

We will have fairies in costume, music and of course as always, the site and museum are open and free to the public.

Always…Patsy Cline” will top off the Clarence Brown Theatre season and this is your last chance to see it on the MainStage!!! Back by popular demand after a sold-out run in 2003, this fabulous musical is based on the true story of Patsy’s long friendship with fan, Louise Seger, and features 27 classic songs including “Crazy,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “She’s Got You,” “Sweet Dreams,” and “Back in Baby’s Arms”.
