Try: May Full Moon Walk

When: Friday, May 5th, 8:30pm-10pm

Where: Seven Islands State Birding Park / 2809 Kelly Ln. Kodak

The May Full Moon is known as the Flower Moon, because of the abundance of flowers that spring up across the landscape this time of year. You will walk along the Accessible Bobwhite Trail by the light of the moon, and discuss the nocturnal animals, including owls, insects, and bats that live in the park.

The walk is approximately 2.5 miles on both paved and unpaved trails.

Watch & Listen: Kentucky Derby Day Celebration

When: Saturday, May 6th, 12pm

Where: Schulz Bräu Brewing Company / 126 Bernard Ave. Knoxville

It's time again for the most exciting two minutes in sports! Head to Schulz Bräu Brewing Company for their Kentucky Derby celebrations! Dress in your derby-best, grab a mint julep, and enjoy the races.

Festival: Blooms, Bluegrass, & BBQ Festival

When: Friday, May 5th, 12pm-8pm and Saturday, May 6th, 10am-8pm

Where: Downtown Sweetwater TN

Head to Sweetwater and enjoy this popular festival. Live bluegrass performances both days, a kid zone, and BBQ that will satisfy all your taste buds. There will be beautiful blooming topiaries throughout downtown and LOTS of vendors with food, crafts, and more.

There will be a carnival and a new addition this year, the adventure corner.
