Do: Stargazing - Autumn Edition

When: Saturday, November 18th, 7pm-11pm
Where: Marble Springs State Historic Site / 7503 Neuberty Springs Rd. Knoxville 

Get ready to immerse yourself in the wonders of the cosmos with a mesmerizing evening under the starry sky. This event at Marble Springs State Historic Site promises an unforgettable experience for astronomy enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. 

Bring your blankets, telescopes, and curiosity as you explore the celestial beauty together.
Expert astronomers from the University of Tennesee Physics Department will guide you through the night sky, pointing out constellations, planets, and other celestial objects.
Come early in the evening to see a talk and presentation on new images from the James Webb telescope! There is even a chance to see the Leonid Meteor Shower as well!
There will be firepits out for s'mores and hot cocoa to keep cozy under the autumn sky!
Whether you're a seasoned stargazer or just starting your cosmic journey, Stargazing: Autumn Edition offers a unique opportunity to marvel at the universe's wonders. Don't miss this chance to connect with nature and gain a deeper appreciation for the vastness of our galaxy.
Even though this event is FREE you must reserve your spot. 
 

Eat & Drink: Chef-Inspired Tasting Dinner

When: Friday, November 17th, 5:30pm-8:30pm

Where: Ancient Lore Village / 7107 Sevierville Pike, Knoxville 

Let your tastebuds soar and join Ancient Lore Village for a special Taste of the Village. This Chef-Inspired Tasting Dinner that will give you a sneak peek of everything they have to offer in their culinary world. 

The menu will include sample sizes of appetizers, salad, main entrees, sides, and desserts. 

Schedule:

  • 5:30 pm: Gates Open
  • 5:30-6:30pm: View the Village, sit by the bonfire, and enjoy a cocktail from our cash bar
  • 6:00 pm: Dinner is served
  • 7:00-8:30 pm: Relax + mingle by the fire
  • 8:30 pm: Event ends

Watch & Listen: Acoustic Ambiance Night with Kitties

When: Saturday, November 18th, 6pm-8pm

Where: Scruffy's Cafe / 1015 North Broadway, Knoxville 

Support local artist, Andrew Swafford, in Scruffy's first-ever acoustic night!

Andrew Swafford is a local ambient musician, whose tunes are sure to help you release the troubles from the week. So, wear your comfiest clothes, get ready to cuddle a kitty (or five), and melt away in Knoxville's only cat lounge! This event is family-friendly, and all ages are welcomed! This event is intended to be a part of Scruffy's mental health benefit night.

Proceeds from the night benefit the artist, Scruffy's rescue mission, as well as the cafe's rescue cats. All cats are up for adoption. Food, drink, and merchandise are available for purchase.
