Join WATE 6 in downtown Knoxville this November at East Tennessee’s ultimate expo created for women, by women! In 2022, the event is focused on women’s health and wellness.  

A job and education fair will be held upstairs while a women’s health and wellness summit will be downstairs.

Eat & Drink: Colonial Pie-Making Workshop

When: Saturday, November 19th, 11am-1pm
Where: Marble Springs State Historic Site / 1220 West Governor John Sevier Hwy. Knoxville  
       

Head to Marble Springs State Historic Site on Saturday, November 19th, from 11 am to 1 pm for a Colonial pie-making workshop to take home a pie to put away until Thanksgiving day! Visitors will go to the tavern to make a traditional apple pie with Mrs. Fran to take and bake. Perfect for freezing and baking on Thanksgiving Day! Visitors will also receive a pastry cloth and recipe card to bring a piece of Marble Springs home. All visitors must bring a rolling pin, a sharp knife, a mixing bowl, and a potato peeler from home.

Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas parties, and family gatherings are fall and winter-time favorites. They will teach you how to make the best simple syrups and how to get those mixed drinks looking perfect, too.

Watch & Listen: Dino Races and The Knoxville Ice Bears

Get ready for a race of jurassic proportions! The annual dino races are back at the Coliseum while the Ice Bears take on the Peoria Rivermen! Get your best dinosaur costume, grab your running shoes and get ready to dash across the ice for the chance to be crowned champion! Don't want to race? Just enjoy watching all the action!

When: National Collection Week is November 14th - November 21st
Where: Various Locations Across East Tennessee / Find Your Location

The Samaritan's Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts‑filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world. Their website has all the instructions on how to pack your shoebox and what to pack your shoebox with. 

Shoeboxes will be collected November 14th - November 21st at various locations across East Tennessee.
