Do: Smoky Mountain Air Show
Where: Tennessee Air National Guard Base at McGhee Tyson Airport, Knoxville
The 2022 Smoky Mountain Air Show is proud to feature the Blue Angels, the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team and many more. Also, the Budweiser Clydesdales will be part of the opening ceremonies to help kick off the performances. There will be vendors, exhibits, a music stage and kids area.
Saturday and Sunday September 10-11, 2022*:
7:00 a.m. Parking Areas Open
8:00 a.m. Gates Open
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Static Displays, Vendors, Exhibits, Kids Area & Music Stage
11:00 a.m. Opening Ceremonies
12:00 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. Aerial Performances
5:00 p.m. Gates Close
*The aerial acts and static displays will be the same on Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting. The schedule is subject to change.

Family: Family Day - Celebrate the Art of the Day of the Dead
Where: McClung Museum of Natural History / 1327 Circle Park Dr. Knoxville
Join museum educators for a FREE Family Fun Day on September 10! Celebrate the new exhibition, The Spirit of Día de los Muertos, with crafts, art, tours, and family-friendly activities.
Explore the history of the many artistic traditions associated with the celebration of the Day of the Dead.
Tours of the gallery in Spanish will also be available and the Knox County Public Library will be joining us for bilingual story time.
Before the Family Day Event begins at 1pm there will be a screening of the movie Coco that will begin at 10:30am.
Join in for a free Spanish screening of the award-winning movie Coco. The screening will be in Spanish and will add rich context to the McClung Museum's current exhibition: The Spirit of Día de los Muertos.
