How does the saying go? April Showers Bring May Flowers! It's the last weekend in April and we've had the showers so here's hoping to some May flowers. Let's end April with a bang. Our list will lead the way!

Where: 3301 E Magnolia Ave NE, Knoxville
If you’ve done a traditional 5K, you know they can be a bit lackluster. But the BUBBLE RUN™ is like running through Willy Wonka's factory. Clad in white t-shirts, adults, kids and strollers run, walk, dance and play across 3 miles of absolute fun! At each kilometer, participants will run through the Foam Bogs where there is enough colored foam to cover you from head to toe!
Eat: Southern Social Festival
When: Friday, April 27th, 7pm and Saturday, April 28th, 8:30am
Where: Southern Social Festival / 205 Bridgewater Rd. Knoxville
The Southern Social Festival is a celebration of Southern life, bringing a morning of informative exciting cooking classes with top regional chefs and an evening of drinks and fun featuring the distilleries of the Tennessee Whiskey Guild. Entertainment will be provided by none other than Matt Stillwell. Proceeds from the event benefit L5 Foundation.
Try: Furniture Painting 101
When: Saturday, April 28th, 10am-12pm
Where: Louisville Mercantile / 2940 Topside Rd. Suite 3, Louisville
If you want to paint furniture but don't know where to start, this class is for you. Learn the basics of preparing your furniture for painting, painting techniques, use of glazes and waxes, and caring for your furniture once painted. They provide all the supplies you need for the class plus light refreshments. Due to limited class size, pre-payment with registration is needed to reserve your spot.
Cost is $55 per participant. You will also receive 10% off all Country Chic Paint products on class day. Class fees are non-refundable.

Family: Ijams Nature at Night: Sunset Stroll
When: Friday, April 27th, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Where: Ijams Nature Center / 2915 Island Home Ave., Knoxville
Enjoy an evening walk to look for wildlife as the sun sets. Even if you've hiked the trails at Ijams Nature Center during the day, an evening adventure can be a whole new experience. In addition to frogs and toads calling, coyotes howling, leaves rustling, and owls calling are all wonderful possibilities. So be part of the Ijams nightlife and join us for this twilight tour of the forest!
Sunset Strolls take place on the paved and manicured trails around Ijams Nature Center. They are specifically designed for participants with strollers, wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility-assist devices. The fee for this program is $8 per person. EVERYONE OVER THE AGE OF 1 MUST HAVE A TICKET. (Infants in carriers or strollers are free).
Participants are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy dinner on the lawn prior to the hike.
Pets are not permitted on night hikes.

Watch and Listen: A Night of Shorts 2018

Tiger Lily Theatre is proud to present A Night of Shorts 2018!
This annual theatrical event showcases new, unpublished works; directed, performed, and produced by local artists.
For the last 7 years Tiger Lily Theatre has made it part of its mission to provide opportunities for new writers, performers, directors, technicians, and designers. This production offers a forum to explore and develop their craft further as well as encourage new and aspiring theatre artists. The result is a wildly diverse and engaging evening of live theatre that has become an audience favorite. You can catch A Night of Shorts 2018 for one weekend only in the heart of Happy Holler at Modern Studio.
