Great Life RE Weekend List, May 4-6

There are SO many things going on this weekend! Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby on the same day???  Maybe you can wear your derby hat to a fiesta and sip on mint juleps while eating tacos! Sounds like a fun party to me! Here's a list of things we think you will love doing this weekend!

Do: The Retropolitan Craft Fair

When: Sunday, May 6th, 10am-5pm
Where: The Mill & Mine / 227 West Depot Ave., Knoxville

You're invited to Knoxville's favorite indie craft marketplace! This spring fair promises quality handmade goods, one of a kind vintage items, music, wine, beer, food, a photo booth, and activities for the little ones. Plus they are thrilled to debut an all new "DIY Loft" upstairs with free tutorials so you can learn how to make fun projects yourself!

Whether you're coming to find that perfect gift for mom just in time for Mother's Day, or just to "treat yo self" - there is something for everyone at Retro!

Eat & Drink: Cinco de Mayo Pub Crawl & Fiesta

When: Saturday, May 5th, 6pm-10pm
Where: Citico's Restaurant & Club / 2698 Oakum Ct., Lenoir City

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo WindRiver-style with a Pub Crawl and Fiesta! They're busting the pinata wide open with two parties in one evening. The WindRiver Pub Crawl visits three locations within the community. At each pub crawl destination guests receive a cold beverage (beer or specialty drink), hors d’oeuvres to accompany and the opportunity to participate in a fun activity. The Cinco de Mayo Fiesta is featured at the third destination of the Pub Crawl. Enjoy a fajita buffet while mingling next to the zero-entry pool and listen to live music while kicking back on the event lawn.

Watch and Listen: Kentucky Derby Party

When: Saturday, May 5th, 2pm-8pm
Where: The Casual Pint Bearden / 234 Brookview Center Way, Set 107, Knoxville

Join in the fun for a fabulous Kentucky Derby party benefitting Horse Haven of Tennessee. Horse Haven of Tennessee is a 501c3 nonprofit that works to assist law enforcement and state agriculture investigators with rescuing abused and neglected equine across the state. Kentucky Ales have graciously donated a keg of their fine beers and all pints purchased from that keg will go to Horse Haven.

In addition, they'll have other Kentucky Ales on tap including their KY Bourbon Ale, as well as a food truck from Claybourne's Chicken and Waffles starting at 1pm and live music for a few hours from the Mikki Norwood Band pre-race. Horses run at a little after 6pm, but you can spend the afternoon hanging out!

Wear your best derby attire including your fabulous derby hat to win prizes and they'll have a Casual Pint "betting" window open to place your bets on which horse wins...and you could win too!

Have a great weekend! Let us know if you give something on our list a try!
