Happy December! There are so many GREAT things to do this time of year, parades galore, shopping, Holiday shows, and so much more. Follow our list to help you keep from getting overwhelmed with which things to choose!
Do: Love The Locals Christmas Craft Fair
When: Sunday, December 3rd, 12pm-5pm
Where: Everett Recreation Center / 318 S Everett High Rd. Maryville
There will be a hot cocoa and cookie bar, visits from Santa, tons of amazing local vendors to shop from, lots of Christmas cheer, and so much more! There will also have raffle tickets you can buy throughout the day to win various amazing prizes, and all of the raffle ticket proceeds will go directly to the Zakiah's Memorial Splash Pad Project! Come get your Holiday shopping done, support a great cause, and bring your friends and family for a day of fun!

Eat: Open Hearth Cooking Workshop
When: Saturday, December 2nd, 10am-1pm
Where: Marble Springs State Historic Site / 1220 W John Sevier Hwy. Knoxville
This hands-on workshop will help you get ready for the holidays with the preparation of a Tiny Purse fruit popover. Copies of the recipe and cooking instructions will be provided. Space is limited so make your reservations early. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, November 29th. The fee is $20 per person and $10 for GJSMA members. Parking is free. Beginners welcome! Limit one pet, per person, per canvas please.
We pre sketch pet pictures before class. Please email your pet's picture to us after registering online to [email protected]. Please put "Paint your own Pet, and date of event" in subject line. NOT Holiday: Trees Knoxville Tree Give-Away
When: Saturday, December 2nd, 9am-12pm
Where: Knoxville Botanical Garden & Arboretum Mule Barn / 2649 Boyds Bridge Pike, Knoxville
The give-away is open to residents and buisnesses within the City of Knoxville or Knox County. Eligible participants are allowed up to five free trees for their private property. A variety of native tree species will be available at the give-away including Overcup Oak, Sweetgum, Redbud, Sugar Maple and Persimmon. This event is made possible by Trees Knoxville, their membership in the Alliance for Community Trees and partnership with CSX.
Family: Ijams Kids Holiday Craft Day
When: Saturday, December 2nd, 1pm-4pm
Where: Ijams Nature Center / 2915 Island Home Ave. Knoxville
Bring your kids to Ijams to make their very own ornament with materials from nature. All materials will be provided by Ijams and Mother Nature. Ornaments will be divided up by age groups. Each group will have a few options for making different ornaments. Ages are 3-6 yrs old, 7-10 yrs old, and 11 and up. Show up anytime between 1pm and 4pm. There will be plenty of help on hand to assist with ideas, suggestions or instructions. Tickets are $10 each.
