A little over two weeks until Christmas??? AHHHH!!!! This time of year is packed with parties, seeing Santa, decorating trees, eating and more eating, and so many other things. Take a look at our list of things going on this weekend.

Do: Candlelight Tour at Fort South West Point

When: Saturday, 6pm-9pm
Where: Fort South West Point / 1226 S. Kentucky St. Kingston

The public is invited to come experience the sights, sounds and flavors common to the people of the 18th Century. Guests will be greeted at the Visitor's Center and invited to take a candlelight tour of the fort. Beeswax candles will light the walkway up to the fort. Special attention has been given to recreate an atmosphere of the past at the fort. Uniformed soldiers and period-dressed living history interpreters will mingle with guests and offer historical tidbits of the time period. Refreshments common to our ancestors in the late 1700s will be served by fort volunteers. Experience a taste of the past as you sip a cup of wassail and stroll around the grounds. A special treat will be a firing of the cannon at night. There is no charge for this event, however; donations are welcomed and will assist to further the re-building program in progress at Fort Southwest Point.
