Great Life RE Weekend To Do List, July 27-29

It's the last weekend in July! Summer days are numbered. Before we know it, we will all be sipping on Pumpkin Spice Lattes and wearing our Big Orange Gear. Summer isn't over yet though! Let's keep the party going with this list of fantastic things to do this weekend! 

Do: Knoxville Botanical Gardens Tour

When: Sunday, July 29th, 5pm-6:30pm
Where: Knoxville Botanical Garden & Arboretum  

Ten years before statehood David Howell planted a garden, establishing a family business that would last over a hundred years. Travel from the frontier to today hearing the story of this historic property in sun and shadow. 
Proceeds help support the garden. This tour is 90 minutes long and reservations must be made. Adults are $15 and children 6-12 are $10. Book online or call 865-309-4522.

Eat & Drink: Date Nite & Comedy Show 

When: Saturday, July 28th, 6pm-9pm
Where: Merelli's Italian Cuisine / 4884 Chambliss Ave. Knoxville

Mingle and enjoy the sounds of Live Jazz from 6-7pm in the lobby. Then proceed through the night with Italian cuisine, comedy, and door prizes from 7-9pm. Hint: try the special berry salad for a summertime favorite.  Couple's are responsible for their food and drink tab.

Try: Full Moon Social at The Cove

When: Friday, July 27th, 8:30pm-10:30pm
Where: Northshore Dr. SW, Knoxville 

Join the River Sports crew for a paddling adventure by the light of the setting sun and experience the serenity and wildlife of the evening water. They will let the bright light of the full moon guide your way along the night shores of Ft. Loudon Lake. Please bring your headlamps or kayak lights per TWRA regulations
Cost: Free if you have your own gear or $15 if you need to rent gear. You must register either way so they know how many to prepare for.
Please meet 15 min early to get gear allocated.

Watch and Listen: Dawn Landes Live at Pretentious Beer Co. 

When: Saturday, July 28th, 8pm-11pm
Where: Pretentious Beer Co. 131 S Central St. Knoxville  

Holy moly  Pretentious Beer Co. is excited to host Dawn Landes!!! She's recently been touring as a part of Sufjan Stevens' band and has previously collaborated with big names like Norah Jones, Will Oldham and Andrew Bird. Dawn's last record Bluebird won an Independent Music Award for Best Singer-Songwriter Album in 2015, and her highly anticipated new record Meet Me at the River (produced by country legend Fred Foster) is due out in August. Doors open at 7:30pm and music starts at 8pm. Seating will be limited so get your tickets early.
