Family: POP (Power of Produce) Club
When: Saturday, November 11th, 9am-2pm
Where: Market Square Farmer's Market, Market Square, Knoxville
This will be the last Power of Produce (PoP) Club of the year, but it's not too late to try it out! PoP Clubs provide a fun opportunitiy for children to engage in the local food system through conversations with farmers, educational games and demonstrations, and exposure to new fruits and vegetables. Every child participating in PoP Club gets $5 in vouchers to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market.
Ijams Nature Center will be leading activities to teach children about pollinators, and there will be samples of a fruit or veggie (TBD) from the market that they can try.
