Eat & Drink: Meal Prep Class For The Busy Person

Where: The Cutting Edge Classroom / 817 North Herron Rd., Knoxville
Are you very busy? Hungry? Live an active lifestyle? Want to eat healthier? Just tired of restaurant food? Is cooking too time consuming or just plain hard to do? Looking for a fun and convenient alternative? Then The Cutting Edge Classroom's Chef taught Meal Prep Class is the solution you have been looking for! In this class you will cook in groups of 2-4 people with step by step guidance from the Chef instructor. Each group will prepare a meal to portion out and share with the class, plus everyone will get to eat a sampling of the meals they prepare during class. (Just so no one goes home hungry)! Everyone will leave with 10 fresh and delicious meals ready to eat or freeze for later. Since teaching how to cook is what they do best, you will also learn some key cooking fundamentals proven to help in the kitchen everyday!
The Meal Prep Menu:
- Chimichurri Steak Roasted Sweet Potato Wedges, and Quinoa Salad. This meal prep gets tasty South American flavors from bright and bold chimichurri sauce. Juicy grilled steak is drizzled with a deliciously tangy, herb-packed sauce and served alongside roasted sweet potato wedges and a veggie quinoa salad.
- Greek Couscous Salad. This salad is packed with protein and veggies for the perfect healthy meal! Delicious Chick Peas, Fresh Veggies, and a delicious Citrus Herb Dressing.
- Spinach, Mushroom, Bacon, and Goat Cheese Quiche. This incredibly simple yet delicious dish is loaded with vitamins, flavor, and protein for that busy lifestyle!
- Chicken Taco Bowl. Toasted taco rub over boneless chicken breast and grilled to perfection. Served with citrus rice salad and our signature Pineapple Slaw.
- Wine Infused Cedar Plank Salmon. Served with a fresh and fruity mango salsa, Herb and Spanish olive oil roasted vegetables, and basmati rice.

Do you want to impress your friends at the next dinner party? How about improving your cocktail making skills? You're in luck! Maple Hall will be offering their first-ever cocktail making class.
Let their experienced bartender teach you how to make two cocktails while feeling like a bartender yourself. During the class, you will have the privacy of their entire upstairs space to learn how to create cocktails from start to finish, including one of their in-house purées.
While creating the delicious cocktails, you will have a chance to enjoy one of their new fall cocktails and snack on hors d'oeuvres made specifically for this event.
Please be advised that you have to be 21+ to be able to participate in this event. Please be sure to bring a valid I.D. when coming to this event.

Family: Fun with Farragut's Fleet

Kids have the opportunity to see, touch and climb on trucks and equipment used by the Town of Farragut and local rescue and construction organizations! This year's participants include Farragut Public Works Department, Smyrna Ready Mix, First Utility District, Whaley Construction and Tennessee Excavating Company. ID Kits will be provided by HIS Security and Snacks are provided by Knoxville Moms Blog.
