Watch & Listen: Rachel McIntyre Smith

When: Saturday, December 28th, 6pm-7:30pm
Where: The Vienna Coffeehouse / 212 College St. Maryville

Rachel McIntyre Smith is an award-winning pianist and songwriter. She grew up in Oliver Springs,TN, but moved to Chattanooga to attend college at UTC. She plays 4 instruments- piano, guitar, ukulele, and clarinet. She classifies her music as a blend of country, indie, and vintage pop drawing inspiration from Kacey Musgraves, Carole King, Taylor Swift and the sounds of old country and 60s girl bands. Rachel recently opened for American-Idol Runner Up, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, and Nashville Folk Band, Boy Named Banjo. This regional artist has also been featured on WUTC's Writers in The Round and The Chattanooga Times Free Press Music Wednesdays.

One of her bucket list dreams is for a group of moms to belt out one of her songs at a karaoke bar on a weeknight. She laughingly asks that people please listen to her music so she won't look like a failure at her high school reunion. Clearly and artist with a sense of humor, she has the talent to back it up.
