Weekend To Do List - November 13-15, 2020
This is one of my very favorite times of year! The leaves are gorgeous. The weather is glorious. Thanksgiving is on the horizon. Christmas is around the corner. Life is good.
We are still being cautious and hoping and praying that COVID goes away SOON! Our goal is to provide you with safe, but also fun things to do during this time. How great is it that we get to live in a place with so many wonderful things to do and see!?!
Check out this edition of the Great Life RE Weekend To Do List! While we try to find activities and events that promote social distancing and a safe environment please always use your own judgment when attending any activity or function.
Do: Sangria and Succulents
Where: The Winery at Seven Springs Farm / 1474 Highway 61 E, Maynardville
First, they will go over how to make their Pumpkin Spice Sangria which you can enjoy during the class.
Then, Allen Beeler will guide you through making your own unique succulent arrangement.

Eat & Drink: Just Say Queso Food Truck at Elst Brewing
Elst Brewing is partnering with their good friends Just Say Queso to offer cheesy goodness and more in the taproom courtyard on Friday, November 13th!
Join in for some tasty brew and bites safely spaced in the courtyard. Also, feel free to swing by to grab some to-go!
Dogs and children welcome but Must be 21+ to #DrinkSomethingElst.

Jammin Jams has released their first cookbook! November 14th from 12-4 Janice Hullett will be at Gentry Mercantile signing her new cookbook and giving away samples of food from recipes out of her book. Each mouthwatering recipe in this amazing cookbook utilizes her jams.
Jammin Jams are a great compliment to your holiday meals, like our Cranberry Raspberry Orange jam!
It goes great on a turkey sandwich for your leftover turkey, makes great oatmeal cookies with a delicious fall twist when you add our jam to the cookie recipe.
Makes a great appetizer by pouring a jar over a bar of cream cheese for goat cheese with some fruit and cheese tray too!!

America Recycles Day is November 15 and Seven Islands is excited to share helpful tips on how everyone can do their part to reduce, reuse, and recycle to help out the environment! The staff at Seven Islands will be educating visitors on the importance of recycling and what types of things can and cannot be recycled. There will be fun activities for kids of all ages to participate in and recycle at the same time. There will be a craft table for creating works of art using recyclable materials. There will be a contest to guess the number of aluminum can tabs in a container for a chance to win 4 free vouchers for any upcoming program at Seven Islands State Birding Park!
Activities will be held at the Bluebird Barn by the main entrance of the park from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday, November 15. This is a FREE event.

Watch & Listen: Mewvie Night + Sugarbearyy Popup
Where: Scruffy's Cafe / 1015 North Broadway, Knoxville

They are showing "A Street Cat Named Bob" for all of their supporters who couldn't make it to the last screening. A heart-warming true story, A Street Cat Named Bob is adapted from the real-life memoirs of James Bowen, a former heroin addict who was at his lowest when he met Bob, a stray ginger cat who walked through his window one day and refused to leave.
