Weekend To Do List - Socially Distant Edition
Each week we bring you the Great Life RE Weekend To Do List. We don't want to stop now! As our counties and state start opening back up many are still staying home and being cautious. Step by step we will get back to "normal," but while we wait, we want to bring you plenty of great things to do. It's easy to go stir-crazy at home, but thankfully there are a lot of ways to stay active and safe while you're practicing social distancing.
So let's try another week of the Great Life RE Weekend To Do List: Social Distancing Edition!
Do: Pick Your Own Strawberries at Rutherford Farms
Pick your own strawberries at Rutherford Farms. They first opened in 1976. During that time they were u-pick operation only but as the customer base grew, they did too. In 2009 they added the pre-pick operation and it is now just as popular as the u-pick.
Cash or check only. Please bring your own containers to pick your own. (buckets, baskets, collanders. bowls, etc.) If you need additional buckets they sell a 4 quart bucket for $1. They will take walk up orders depending on availability only. Please call the pre-pick number (865) 518-1311 to place an order. No pets in the field. Strollers only at the top of the field, not in between the rows. Please see their website for all the COVID-19 Policies and Regulations you must abide by.

Eat: Low Country Shrimp Boil at Fanatic Brewing Company
Social distancing protocols will be in effect for everyone's safety.

Try: Re-Opening of Crafts Axe Throwing
Great news, Craft Axe Throwing will be re-opening their facility this Friday! In order to maintain the safety of guests and employees, they will be instituting the following measures:
1) All equipment & surfaces will be disinfected after every group
2) They will only be opening every other lane in order to maintain social distancing
Reserve your lane for this weekend now!
What is Axe Throwing??? It's a game that anyone can play (and win). Score points by throwing axes at a giant dartboard-like target. The closer you get to the bullseye, the more points earned. All of the events are staffed with trained instructors, helping groups nail the bullseye. No axe throwing experience? No problem!

Watch and Listen: "Do You Read Me?" A Virtual Comedy For Weird Times
This play is being performed LIVE and SOCIALLY DISTANCED! “Do You Read Me” is a special sci-fi comedy that was written to be performed on Zoom by the Flying Anvil Theatre company.
The play is centered around astronauts on Mars facing struggles similar to ours during the COVID-19 pandemic, kept socially distant from family and friends.
In order to receive instructions for the performance, reserve a ticket below, and make sure your email address is correct. They will email out instructions an hour before showtime.
“This is the first time that Flying Anvil Theatre has done anything like this, trying to do any kind of digital contents, a whole play performed over a digital platform and I believe it’s probably the first time that it’s been done in our area, our Knoxville area,” David Ratliff, the director, said. “Do You Read Me” streams on Zoom coming up on May 29 and May 31.
You can buy tickets on their website, with the theatre asking to pay what you can.
