Weekend To Do List - October 2-4, 2020

Fall is in the air and October is on the calendar! We are still being cautious and hoping and praying that COVID goes away SOON! Our goal is to provide you with safe, but also fun things to do during this time. How great is it that we get to live in a place with so many wonderful things to do and see!?! 

Check out this edition of the Great Life RE Weekend To Do List! While we try to find activities and events that promote social distancing and a safe environment please always use your own judgment when attending any activity or function. 

Do: Farragut Fall Festival 

When: Sunday, October 4th, 3pm-8pm

Where: 11240 Kingston Pike, Farragut

On Sunday October 4, between the hours of 3 and 8pm, Shop Farragut will assemble vendors from all across the Farragut Business Community. The Festival will feature 3 dozen retail and promotional booths including food and beverage vendors and 5 hours of “live” entertainment. Merchants will showcase their products and services in the former Kroger Parking lot, 11240 Kingston Pike, in Farragut for the first FARRAGUT FALL FESTIVAL.

Eat & Drink: Couples Spanish Tapas

When: Friday, October 2nd, 9pm-12am
Where: The Cutting Edge Classroom / 817 North Herron Rd. Knoxville 

Get ready for a truly unique experience and join in for an evening of amazing food and friends! You and your partner will enjoy an amazing experience as the Chef walks you through a culinary celebration of Spain! Discover how fun it is to experience an interactive and hands on cooking class! You’ll enjoy a menu full of authentic and delicious Tapas courses straight from the streets of Spain while the Chef demonstrates techniques and shares tips and tricks along the way. Couples will team up and prepare fresh made Tapas that we will display using food styling and plating techniques that will surely please! Best of all, you will get to eat the incredible cuisine you create in class. Price is for one couple.

Try: The Great Pumpkin Hunt

When: Saturday, October 3rd, 11am-5pm

Where: Oak Ridge, TN 

On Saturday October 3rd, CASA of the Tennessee Heartland is hosting an all day scavenger hunt in the Oak Ridge area with local businesses called The Great Pumpkin Hunt. 8 locations, 7 clues, a bag full of treats, and 3 grand prizes. Participants will be given a bag at the start of the scavenger hunt to collect their clues and other goodies along the way. You must present all 7 clues at the last location to be entered into a drawing for the Grand Prize.

Head to the Parkway Drive-In for two movies and support Family Promise!
Adults are $8,  $4 for ages 5-12, Under 4 is free. Shrek begins at 8pm and Addams Family begins at the conclusion of the first movie. 

Family Promise of Blount County’s mission is to unite the faith community, volunteers, and community resources to provide meals, temporary shelter, transitional housing, and social services to families without homes, enabling them to achieve lasting independence.

Watch & Listen: Tennessee Vols Watch Party

When: Saturday, October 3rd, 11am-4pm

Where: Maple Hall / 414 S Gay St SW, Knoxville 

Watch the Tennessee Volunteers take on the Mizzou Tigers!

Beginning 1 hour before kick-off, you can enjoy a special gameday menu with drink and food specials. This watch party is on a reservation basis through the link below. By reserving a table, you and your fellow fans can watch the game indoors in the upstairs Maple Room or on our outdoor patio.They are at a limited capacity so book soon! *Event is 21+


Your watch party wristband will also get you free shoe rentals should you choose to bowl before, during, or after the game.
